Day 1: Addis Ababa to Arba Minch – Lake Chamo Boat Safari
Take a morning flight from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch, where your guide will welcome you
upon arrival. After checking into your hotel, embark on a boat safari on Lake Chamo, home to
enormous Nile crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of bird species. Visit the famous “Crocodile
Market,” where large crocodiles bask along the shores. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a lakeside
restaurant and relax at your hotel.

Day 2: Arba Minch to Turmi via Konso – Hamer Tribe Experience
After breakfast, depart for Turmi, making a stop in Konso, a UNESCO-listed cultural site known
for its intricate terraced agriculture and unique wooden totems marking the graves of warriors.
Continue driving to Turmi, the heartland of the Hamer people, and arrive in the afternoon. Spend
time with the Hamer tribe, learning about their traditions, hairstyles, and beadwork. If the timing
is right, you may witness a bull-jumping ceremony, an important rite of passage for Hamer men.

Day 3: Excursion to Karo Tribe – Omo River Views
In the morning, travel to Korcho, a Karo village overlooking the Omo River. The Karo people
are known for their intricate body painting using white chalk, which they apply in elaborate
patterns for ceremonies and daily life. After exploring the village and enjoying panoramic views
of the Omo River, return to Turmi in the afternoon. You may visit a Hamer village for further
interaction or enjoy the traditional Evangadi dance, performed by young Hamer men and
women. Overnight in Turmi.

Day 4: Turmi to Jinka via Dassanech Tribe
In the morning, travel to Korcho, a Karo village overlooking the Omo River. The Karo people
are known for their intricate body painting using white chalk, which they apply in elaborate
patterns for ceremonies and daily life. After exploring the village and enjoying panoramic views
of the Omo River, return to Turmi in the afternoon. You may visit a Hamer village for further
interaction or enjoy the traditional Evangadi dance, performed by young Hamer men and

Day 5: Mursi Tribe Visit – Flight to Addis Ababa
Early in the morning, take a drive to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe, famous for the
lip plates worn by women and the bold warrior culture of the men. Spend time interacting with
the community and learning about their customs before returning to Jinka. After lunch, transfer
to Jinka Airport for your afternoon flight back to Addis Ababa, marking the end of your Omo
Valley adventure.
